The development of this website, www.hcgdiscount.com, came after the request of many friends and family wanting to know more about the diet sensation known as “The HCG Diet”, after seeing the dramatic results of my own personal HCG diet experience.
Prior to engaging in the diet myself in late 2008, in which homeopathic HCG first became a popular alternative to injectable HCG, I did my research. Once I felt that the diet was safe and I read the book, “Pounds & Inches: A New Approach to Obesity”, by Dr. A.T.W. Simeons, I took that first step towards changing my life and eating habits by applying the diet protocol and food guidelines, taught and outlined by Dr. Simeons, into my everyday lifestyle. I was very strict and stayed true to plan. The results after 30 days were staggering. Many people didn’t even recognize me. I had not felt this good in almost 15 years. Because of this success, people began calling me and asking me what I had done to look so good in such a short amount of time. As I began to tell my story to others, it prompted more and more inquiries – so much so that my phone never stopped ringing. People wanted to know all about this “HCG” diet.
Because this diet was still fairly new to the market, it was hard to find a lot of good, credible references and resources, other than the original diet protocol written by Dr. Simeons. I thought if I could gather as much information as I could about the diet and post it somehow for others who were curious with so many questions, then maybe my phone would stop ringing. So for the next 6 months I spent countless hours of research, talking with many homeopathic physicians and medical doctors, interviewing actual HCG dieters, and reading anything and everything about homeopathy and HCG that I could get my hands on – and thus the website was eventually born.
But my phone did not stop ringing. Now that people had the information available to them (for FREE, mind you), they wanted to know how and where to purchase product. At the time, in early 2009, most 3rd party distributors of homeopathic HCG were charging outrageous amounts of money for product. That did not sit well with me. So I began another 4 to 5 month quest researching and talking to several different manufactures of homeopathic HCG products and testing personally their products. I then aligned myself with a friend in the medical industry which provided me the licensing required to purchase homeopathic HCG directly from the manufacturer I chose to affiliate myself with. It was with great care and concern and research that I chose the manufacturer I endorse on this website. They produce the highest grade homeopathic HCG on the market (please refer to the link labeled, “About the Manufacturer”), and their knowledge and experience in the homeopathic field is bar none.
In October of 2009 – I began offering homeopathic HCG on the website at a fraction of the cost that every other website and 3rd-party distributor was offering at the time. I was NOT in the diet industry to make money, but rather, I wanted to be a free source of information on the HCG diet and also offer a reliable and exceptional homeopathic product at a reasonable price, so anyone and everyone who wanted to try this amazing diet could afford to do so.
In the last 2 years since 2009 – the HCG Diet sensation has exploded! You have heard about it on talk shows and in the news – read about it in magazines and newspapers – and now the internet has hundreds, possibly thousands of websites boasting the HCG diet and their products that it can keep your head spinning! With so many choices now and so many sites claiming this or that, representing one opinion over another, faulting one website or company against another, and making statements that are inaccurate or are simply not true – how does one make a decision on which product to use or which website or health center to endorse and patronage??
I really don’t have an answer for that. Even if I did, someone would try to discredit me and I would open myself up for attack after attack. The diet industry is a multi-billion dollar a year industry. People and companies are getting rich because the general public wants a “quick cure” to their over-weight problems. There is no “quick cure”. I don’t promote that, don’t endorse that theory, and don’t promise or guarantee results to those interested in the HCG Diet. Those that do only want your money. The fact of the matter is that the HCG Diet, or any diet for that matter, can only be as successful as the eating changes you decide to make in your life. The HCG diet provides the “jump start” and the basic ground work and foundation for a new and better eating program – but it is up to YOU to implement those changes and continue forward with better eating habits, or else the weight WILL come back as the bad eating habits return.
About HCG Discount – here’s the truth, people. I started this business with only one intent – and that was to educate and offer free information to all those who wanted to know about the HCG diet. I did not quit my day job because I saw a way to make a buck – I simply wanted my phone to stop ringing. But because of the demand and the outlandish cost of homeopathic HCG that was on the market at the time, and after much research, I began to offer a quality, custom-grade homeopathic HCG product on the website, as well, so consumers, like me, wouldn’t be “milked” of their hard-earned money. The information on the HCG Diet found on this website stays pretty true to the original diet protocol outlined in Dr. Simeons’ book. There are some slight diversions only because the book was written some 50 years ago and products have arrived on the market that compliment the diet or have been researched and found not to impede the diet. I get questions all the time from people wanting to know why another website or another person says you can do this or not do this on the diet – eat or not eat this. The answer is that with hundreds of websites marketing this diet, you are going to get hundreds of interpretations and opinions. I cannot, nor will not, comment on eating plans or advice and opinions on the diet plans others offer and promote. All I can do is offer you the plan that HCG Discount promotes – a plan that has been tested and proven successful and follows the original protocol.
You will hear all sorts or accusations about some homeopathic HCG products not being “real”, or a “non-alcohol” based product is better. To answer those claims I will state this – HCG given via an injection is a “prescription product” that needs to be distributed and prescribed by a licensed physician, and is usually quite pricey. If you are ordering this off the internet, not only is it illegal to do so, you may not be getting what you think you are getting, especially if it is from a foreign country. To me, this is a huge risk in your health and pocketbook. Homeopathic products are not a “prescribed” drug, although they are federally licensed and controlled by the FDA. Please read the tab labeled, “Homeopathy” to learn about the process of homeopathy. Homeopathic HCG might be labeled by some as “not real” due to the fact of the minimal amount of HCG found in the formula. PLEASE NOTE – It is a homeopathic remedy and it isn’t supposed to contain measurable quantities of the original ingredients. Part of the preparation process involves repeated dilutions. The formula we use starts at a 6x potency, which is a 1 in 1,000,000 dilution, and becomes even more dilute with the subsequent potencies of 12x, 30x and 60x. This does not mean that the affect of homeopathic HCG is any less impactful than prescribed HCG (please refer to the tab labeled, “Injections vs. Homeopathic HCG Drops on the Home Page”). Please do your research and see which product is best for you and what you feel most comfortable with.
The homeopathic HCG we promote and sell does have an alcohol base. The non-alcohol issue is a poor marketing attempt by others at redirection. There are some homeopathic HCG products that do not contain alcohol, but most liquid remedies do. Alcohol is used for (3) reasons:
- Alcohol is an excellent extraction medium for mother tinctures and brings out more of the organic compounds.
- Alcohol is an excellent preservative and helps keep contaminant growth to a minimum, even after the product is opened.
- Alcohol actually allows for an additional geometric structure to form in the water substrate which makes the homeopathic even more efficacious.
